Why Donate?

As a not-for-profit, charitable community organization, PLASP’s main source of revenue is provided by our competitively-priced parent fees. However, throughout the year, we often seek support from our community to help us supplement our services to better serve our families and community.

Our donors and sponsors can be proud to support an organization that:

15 Years as Best Child Care Provider

For 15 years in a row, PLASP has been recognized by the readers of the Mississauga News as Best Before and After School Program and by the readers of City Parent Magazine as Best Child Care. With an overall parent satisfaction rate of 99.6% and a participation rate of 86% for our parent surveys, the results are clear: PLASP is the number one choice of parents for child care, for children between the ages of 18 months and 12 years of age.

The Gift of Child Care (The PLASP Subsidy Fund)

Our philosophy is that every child deserves a safe, warm and caring environment in which to grow and develop to their maximum potential. For this reason, PLASP has created a subsidy fund to provide subsidized care to families who require financial assistance. Families must meet the requirements and are asked to complete a PLASP Subsidy Form to be considered.

The Gift of Thanks (PLASP Recognition Events)

PLASP values the tireless efforts made by staff and volunteers on a daily basis. PLASP hosts an annual event in recognition of the contributions made by these individuals and will often seek the support from our partners and local businesses. Many organizations generously contribute cash and gifts to this event, becoming instrumental to its success.

The Gift of Knowledge (PLASP Annual Parent and Community Meeting)

The PLASP Annual Parent and Community meeting is held in the Fall of each year with over 1,000 individuals in attendance. Organizations interested in sponsoring this event will be recognized by having their name and logo printed in the annual report (5,000 impressions), in event programs and signage, and will receive acknowledgement throughout the evening’s presentations. Held primarily for parents and community partners, this event provides individuals with information on PLASP from the previous year including the organization’s financials. The highlight of the evening is the keynote address from a relevant expert in the area of parenting, education or behaviour management.
