PLASP Child Care Services will be operating the Before and After School Programs for children 4 and 5 years of age attending full day kindergarten in September. Registration is currently taking place. 

Parents can expect the same high quality programs currently offered for children in PLASP Early Learning and Child Care Centres and School Age Programs.  Staff are trained to the highest standards in understanding the needs of children, providing enriching environments that support and encourge children, socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically.

The Before School Program starts at 7:30 a.m. and runs until school begins.  The children will recieve a healthy breakfast everyday which may include items such as cereal, milk, fruit and juice. The children will enjoy quiet time and educational activities. Staff to child ratio is 1:10.  Cost $41.50 per week.

The After School Program begins at the end of the school day and runs until 6:00 p.m. Staff plan fun, stimulating activities that are developmentally appropriate, everyday.  The children participate in active play and socialize with their friends.  Special events are planned on a regular basis.  A substantial afternoon snack is served everyday before 4:30 p.m.  A typical snack includes sandwiches, fruit, milk or juice.  Staff to child ratio is 1:10.  Cost $68.50 per week.

Registration will be taking place at the Head Office throughout the summer with extended hours of operation, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., provided on Monday, July 5, 12 and 19, August 16 and 23, 2010.  Registration will be taking place at schools on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Parents can also register their children during program time (7:30 a.m. - school start, school end - 6:00 p.m.) once school begins.
