School Age Programs

With 186 locations to serve you, PLASP operates a variety of school age programs for children up to 12 years of age.

Programs Include:

Before School Program
The Before School Program operates from 7:30 am and continues until school begins. Children participate in social activities and enjoy a healthy breakfast, served daily. Staff to child ratio is 1 to 15.

Lunch Program - L2
Lunch will be provided to the children Two days a week. On the other three days, the children bring their own lunch to the program and, after lunch, participate in a variety of planned and supervised, indoor and outdoor activities. Staff to child ratio is 1 to 20.

Lunch Program - L5
PLASP's Lunch Program serves nutritious lunches daily. Our lunches are made fresh and delicious and enjoyed by all. Children eat in a relaxed supervised and social setting. They participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Staff to child ratio is 1 to 20.

After School Programs
The After School Program begins once school is dismissed and goes until 6:00 pm. Children participate in supervised recreational activities and are served a nutritious snack daily before 4:30 pm. Staff to child ratio is 1 to 15.

10+ Club
The 10+ Club is for children from 10 - 12 years of age. In this program children and staff work together to plan and implement activities which are age appropriate, challenging and fun, creating an environment where these children want to be.

Extended Hours
Extended, before and after school, hours are available at some locations. Start times of 7:15 am, as well as, end times of 6:15 pm can be found at certain locations, please call or e-mail the PLASP head office at 905-890-1711 or childcare@plasp.com to find out if extended hours are available at your school.

Part-time Packages
For families who do not require child care every day, Part-time packages are available. A part time package consists of 14 visits per session,

• Fall - September to December
• Winter - January to March
• Spring - April to June.

These visits can be used at any time during the session you purchase.

P.A. Day Program
Day trips are organized for children on school P.A. Days. These trips have children visiting such attractions as Ontario Place, Chuck E. Cheese, Bowling, or a Movie and the Theatre. P.A. Days begin at 7:30 am and go until 6:00 pm, with children being picked-up and dropped off at their school. The fee includes transportation, entrance fees and lunch.

Holiday Programs
The Christmas Holiday, March Break and Summer Programs are recreational programs that operate out of the PLASP Child Care Centres. These programs are full day recreational programs for school age children from 6 to 9 years of age. All meals and snacks are included
in the fee. Activities include theme parties, indoor and outdoor activities, field trips, arts and crafts and much more!

Early Release Program
The early release program operates from school dismissal (12:30 or 1:00pm) to the beginning of the After School Program. Children participate in various recreational activities and enjoy a healthy snack.
