Students on Placement

PLASP’s Student on Placement Program

Students on Placement are interested in child care as a professional career, and are typically placed in PLASP Early Learning and Child Care Centres.  Students on placement are completing Secondary School Co-op Course requirements or Post Secondary Education such as Early Childhood Education/ECE course requirements.

Students on Placement at PLASP:

  • Interact directly with the children
  • Follow the schedule of their supervising staff
  • Fulfill the requirements of PLASP with respect to Health and Safety, Behaviour Management, Anaphylactic and the Playground Procedures
  • Meet the learning objectives of their course/program
  • Are prepared with paperwork, required activities and completed appraisals forms
  • Are prepared to participate in all activities both indoors and outdoors
  • Are open minded and willing to learn
  • Dress and act professionally
