Lynn Hiebert, Appointed CEO,  PLASP Child Care Services

Mississauga  ON– The Board of Directors of PLASP Child Care Services has appointed Lynn Hiebert, Chief Executive Officer of PLASP Child Care Services effective November 1, 2011.

“The PLASP Board of Directors is committed to ensuring that PLASP continues to provide high quality early learning and child care programs for children and families,” said Glen Shipp, President, PLASP Board of Directors.  “We feel that Lynn will be an excellent addition to the PLASP team.”

Lynn Hiebert brings years of experience to her new position, from the education field. Lynn is currently the Superintendent, Human Resources Support Services at the Peel District School Board. Lynn has a Masters in Education and has held positions as Principal, Vice Principal and teacher prior to becoming a Superintendent in 2004. 

“I am excited to bring my experience in education and my passion for the support of young children to an organization as respected and admired as PLASP,” says Lynn Hiebert. “I look forward to building on the PLASP legacy of quality and excellence.”

PLASP, an award winning not-for-profit, charitable organization, has been providing accessible, affordable, high quality child care since 1975.  PLASP’s more than 750 staff provide care and early learning to 8,740 children from 7,000 families annually.  Programs are located in 184 schools throughout Peel and Toronto.  Programs include before school, lunch, after school and P.A. Day trips as well as before and after school programs for children attending full day kindergarten.  PLASP also operates 20 early learning and child care centres providing an excellent learning environment for preschool children up to 5 years of age.
