Message from the CEO - May 21, 2013
On behalf of my entire organization, PLASP would like to apologize for the very unfortunate situation which many of you faced this morning. As we transition to new technology with a new vendor, it was disappointing that the system was overwhelmed by the volume of new registrations, causing a total system failure. Everyone is doing everything they can to rectify this and restore your trust in our organization. We care about you and your children and we must do better. I can assure you that nobody was able to register this morning and that nobody has been offered a spot yet in any of our sites in the interests of fairness and integrity.
For new parents, we are ensuring that an alternative method to pre-register your child will be up and running at 6pm, Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Please be assured, nothing will be posted prior to this time. We will also ensure our parent services team is available to help you until 9pm tomorrow as well.
For current parents, this system failure has not affected your registration. Please rest assured that we have your information and will notify you once the system is restored.
We have ably served this region and their families for many years with a service that is world class delivered by well-trained and committed staff. We are as upset by these events as you are and, unfortunately, we learned a vital lesson today about our systems and support. Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to fix this and we appreciate your on-going support.
