SCHOOL CLOSURES AND BUS CANCELLATIONS

PLASP follows the direction from the School Boards. If the school is closed, the PLASP programs will be closed. This includes the Early Learning and Child Care Centres located in the school.

When notified of a closure, PLASP staff will telephone you to let you know that the Before School Program or Early Learning and Child Care Centre, will not operate. Should the staff be unable to contact you, they will make every effort to arrive at the school to notify you of the closure.

If the buses are NOT running but the schools are open, PLASP programs WILL operate.

On P.A. Days, if buses are cancelled, the PLASP P.A. Day Program will also be cancelled.

SAFETY FIRST

It is vital that you pick-up your child on time. If you know you are going to be late, please arrange for one of your emergency contacts to pick-up your child. On the rare occasion you may be late your child will be safe with PLASP staff until you arrive.

Please ensure that your contact information and two emergency contacts are current. PLASP will only release your child to adults listed on the Registration Form. If there are any changes in your child's registration or medical information, please see the PLASP staff.
