Learning Through Play, Every Day

From the moment you drop off your infant, toddler, or preschooler (ages 6 weeks to five years), your child is welcomed into an environment where play-based learning and activities take center stage. Guided by qualified educators, children build confidence, make friends, and develop lifelong skills through fun hands-on activities.

Our award-winning Early Learning and Child Care Centres offer full-day, licensed programs Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., providing your child with a home away from home.

About PLASP

OUR HANDPICKED STAFF

Skilled Educators Guiding Every Step

Your child spends the day with our highly trained staff. At PLASP, we only recruit Registered Early Childhood Educators for our Early Learning and Child Care Centres. And for additional peace of mind, all centre educators meet the employment requirements of the Child Care and Early Years Act.

All centre educators also hold a valid Standard First Aid Certificate with Level C CPR (for infants and children), and a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check, which is an enhanced background check for individuals in positions of trust or authority over vulnerable persons in Canada.

At PLASP, our educators also participate in additional training courses to ensure they meet our high standards.

THE HIGHSCOPE CURRICULUM

Watch Them Learn, See Them Grow

At PLASP, we know children learn best when they’re actively involved, which is why our programs are based on the HighScope® curriculum. This proven, research-based approach keeps children engaged and growing with confidence.

At the heart of the curriculum is the “Plan-Do-Review” cycle, where children make choices, carry them out, and reflect on their experiences. This process encourages independence, curiosity, and problem-solving, while targeting key developmental areas. With caring educators guiding each step, children learn to explore, think critically, and connect what they’re learning to the world around them.

The HighScope® curriculum is a research-based, constructivist approach to early childhood education that centers on active participatory learning where children learn by making plans, doing activities, and then reviewing them, a process known as the Plan-Do-Review cycle.

The Montessori curriculum gives children freedom to move at their own pace, choosing activities independently in a carefully prepared environment where teachers act as guides.

The HighScope® curriculum provides more structure, built around consistent routines and the Plan-Do-Review cycle, where children plan activities, carry them out, and reflect with teacher support. The approach emphasizes active learning, problem-solving, and reflection, helping children build confidence within a predictable framework

The HighScope® approach is grounded in the idea that children learn best by doing. This active, hands-on style of learning encourages curiosity and independence while keeping children engaged in meaningful experiences. At the heart of the philosophy are five ingredients of active learning: materials, manipulation, choice, child language and thought, and support from adults.
