COMPETITIVE FEES

As a Non-Profit, We Keep Program Fees as Cost-Effective as Possible.

At PLASP, we believe that parents and families are entitled to flexible, high-quality child care that is local, safe, reliable, and affordable.

As a charitable organization operating as a not-for-profit, we put children first. And that’s why parent fees are closely monitored and approved each year by the PLASP Board of Directors – a dedicated group of volunteer parents and community representatives who ensure accountability.

We also recognize that exceptional care starts with exceptional people. That’s why we invest in our programs by hiring qualified, compassionate educators and paying them fairly for the important work they do.

COMPETITIVE FEES

No Hidden Costs

Parent fees cover all expenses for your child in the program, including supervision, breakfast, snacks, crafts, games, and special events. When enrolling your child in a PLASP program, you will be required to pay the following:

An administrative fee of $54.10 is charged, PER FAMILY, once a school-aged child is confirmed in a PLASP program. The administrative fee will be charged to the eldest child when the eldest child in the family is 6 years of age or older.

If a family cancels all children from PLASP programs and re-registers them, the administrative fee will be charged again, as stated above.

In compliance with the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) System fee cap, for those families registering only children under six years of age, the administration fee will be waived.

Fees are set based on a full school year. To keep administrative costs down, payments for fees are made through pre-authorized payments, directly from your bank account, for children registered in our programs.

Fees are made through pre-authorized payments withdrawn directly from your account on the 1st and 16th of the month.

MONEY MATTERS

Please note: A returned payment fee may be charged for any payments that are returned with insufficient funds*.

*Denotes that the fee is a non-based fee, as defined by CWELCC.

SUBSIDIES & DISCOUNTS

High-Quality Care at Competitive Rates

At PLASP, families come first. That’s why we make quality child care affordable and accessible. For qualifying families, we not only accept subsidies but also provide discounts. It’s our way of helping every child enjoy safe spaces to learn, play, and grow while giving parents peace of mind.

PLASP accepts subsidies from the Region of Peel and the City of Toronto.

Please note that if you live in Toronto or the Region of Peel and receive a subsidy, you are responsible for 100% of the fees for your child(ren) until it takes effect.

Subsidies

PLASP offers a discount to families who have three or more children registered with PLASP. A 50% discount will be applied to the child care fees of the third and subsequent child who is six years of age and older, actively participating in a school age program.

We don’t want to see you go, but if you decide to cancel, you must do so by logging in to your profile in the parent web portal. Click the “Cancel Request” button on the welcome page, or select “Cancel Programs” under “My Programs.” Select a cancellation date (identified by a red dot) from the online calendar, either the 1st or 16th of the month. For more information, please see PLASP’s Cancellation policy. To ensure cost-effective operations and reasonable fees, it is important for parents to give PLASP the required notification to allow enough time to fill vacancies. If a program is cancelled, or if a child is withdrawn as outlined in our Withdrawal of Care Policy, PLASP will send an email to confirm the cancellation. Please see the PLASP Important Dates & Payment Schedule for cancellation and payment dates throughout the year.

Please note that the PLASP web portal is not accessible outside of Canada. If you travel outside the country and require a program cancellation, please contact Support Services via email at childcare@plasp.com or by phone at 647-484-4372 (long distance: 1-888-739-4102).

Refunds are not granted for cancellations from program that fall outside of PLASP’s Cancellation Policy. PLASP reserves the right to cancel a registration in the event of non-payment of program fees. If a cancellation request is not submitted in the parent web portal, all fees will apply. For more information, please see our Refund policy

Refunds are not issued for:

  • Occasional absences by your child due to illness;
  • Vacations;
  • Registration fees or deposits;
  • Cancellations from the program that fall outside of PLASP’s Cancellation Policy;
  • School closures beyond out control.
