    Imagine day after day, jam-packed with age-appropriate activities, hands-on projects, games, sports, arts and crafts, and special enrichment experiences that spark curiosity and creativity. 

    Led by caring, qualified educators, children build confidence, make new friends, and enjoy nutritious meals and snacks that keep them energized for play and learning.

    With convenient locations in local schools throughout Peel Region and Toronto, our Summer Programs run from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, in July and August.

    PLASP helps long summer days fly by.

    Please note: PLASP’s Summer Programs are only available to children already registered in a PLASP Before or After School Program.

    Our programs are structured yet flexible, blending active play, creative learning, and social connection. 

    Activities are tailored to each age group and adapted to the weather, group size, and available facilities, ensuring every child has a well-rounded summer experience.

    PLANNED ACTIVITIES

    Indoor and Outdoor Adventures

    Whether children are indoors or outside, every day is filled with fun and learning. Inside, children stay engaged with board games, building challenges, and reading. Activities that fuel curiosity and strengthen teamwork. Outside, summer days are spent playing soccer, shooting hoops with friends, seeing whose kite can fly the highest, and sometimes visiting splash pads and even nature trails. Wherever our adventures take us, your child spends time learning, laughing, and making summer memories.

    PLANNED ACTIVITIES

    Creativity and Connection

    Our arts and crafts projects are designed to spark imagination and keep paint and glue where it belongs – off their clothes!  Often inspired by a favourite storybook or seasonal event, our engaging projects allow children to explore seasonal themes and express their own creativity, while our structured group games and teamwork activities help them practice problem-solving and learn how to work together.

    Summer Programs

    For parents looking for a reliable, full-day program that keeps children learning, active, and social during summer break, PLASP’s Summer Programs are the perfect solution.

    Open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., our licensed programs give children space to explore, play, and discover new interests. Each day includes outdoor adventures, creative projects, and community excursions to local parks and nature trails, plus themed activities in science, art, and design.

    Guided by the same caring educators your child knows from our Before and After School programs, your child will feel comfortable and excited for each day.

    MAKING HEALTHY CHOICES

    Nutritious Meals and Snacks

    Partnering with a nutritionist, we developed our menus to follow Canada’s Food Guide. Children start the day with a healthy breakfast, choosing from options such as cereal, fruit, milk, and yogurt.

    For lunch, families provide a bagged meal from home. Please see our bagged lunch policy for details.

    In the afternoon, children are offered a nutritious afternoon snack with options like whole wheat crackers, a salad bar that may include romaine lettuce, chickpeas, pickles, parmesan cheese, and dressing.

    To end the week on a fun note, a pizza lunch is provided every Friday.

    We are PLASP, a not-for-profit, charitable organization that puts children first.

    We work incredibly hard to offer child care services at affordable and competitive rates, without cutting corners.

    Depending on the age of your child, our programs also qualify for the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system and you may qualify for regional subsidies, both of which help families reduce the cost of child care.
