School Closures Don’t Have to Disrupt Your Schedule

Whether it’s Winter Break, Spring Break, or a P.A. Day, your child has a safe, fun place to go to learn, play, and thrive.

Our caring educators lead engaging, age-appropriate activities, serve nutritious meals and snacks, and bring in special enrichment experiences that make every day exciting.

And because programs run in your school or one nearby, drop-off and pick-up are always convenient.

Please note: PLASP’s Winter Break, Spring Break, and P.A. Day Programs are only available to children already registered in a PLASP Before or After School Program.

In Toronto, these programs are automatically added to your After School Program registration, once confirmed.

PROGRAMS

Winter Break & Spring Break Programs

Just because school is on break doesn’t mean that you are. For parents looking for a worry-free child care solution during the holidays, our Break Programs give the peace of mind that comes from knowing your child is spending the day in a safe, active, and engaging environment, often located within their school.

Our Programs run from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering children a full day of fun, learning, and connection while you focus on work or family commitments. Each day includes a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, creative projects, and special enrichment experiences led by trusted educators.

With nutritious meals, snacks, and friendly faces in familiar school settings, your child can enjoy a fun, enriching, and exciting break.

PROGRAMS

P.A. Day Programs

If P.A. Days leave you scrambling to arrange care, you’re not alone. Our P.A. Day Programs give parents a worry-free option, offering children a full day of fun, learning, connection, and nutritious meals in a safe, engaging environment. And the best part? Our P.A. Day Programs are located in your child’s school or one nearby.

Running from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., each P.A. Day includes art and science projects, outdoor play, and enrichment activities like Zumba, yoga, or group games. With breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks provided, you can relax knowing your child is well-fed, active, and having fun while you’re at work.

MAKING HEALTHY CHOICES

Nutritious Meals and Snacks

Partnering with a nutritionist, we developed our menus to follow Canada’s Food Guide.

In our Winter Break, Spring Break, and P.A. Day programs, children enjoy a healthy breakfast that allows them to choose from options like cereal, fruit, milk, and yogurt. Children are also offered a nutritious afternoon snack with options like whole wheat crackers, a salad bar that may include romaine lettuce, chickpeas, pickles, parmesan cheese, and dressing.

Please note that for our Winter and Spring break programs, children are required to bring their own bagged lunch. See our bagged lunch policy for more information. A pizza lunch will be provided on the last day of the Winter or Spring Break Program and all P.A. Days.

AFFORDABLE CHILD CARE

High-Quality Care at Competitive Fees

We are PLASP, a not-for-profit, charitable organization that puts children first.

We work incredibly hard to offer child care services at affordable and competitive rates, without cutting corners.

Depending on the age of your child, our programs also qualify for the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system and you may qualify for regional subsidies, both of which help families reduce the cost of child care.

It all adds up to exceptional child care that balances quality and value, giving your family the support you need at a price that works.
