PLASP Early Learning and Child Care Centres are re-opening on Monday, July 13th, 2020.

Our highest priority is the health, safety and well-being of children and staff in our centres. PLASP has developed a COVID Policy for the safe operation of our Early Learning and Child Care Centres with a maximum group size of 10 including staff and children allowed per room.

In addition, PLASP is following the guidance of the government of Ontario and Ministry of Educationas well as the public health departments of both Toronto and Peel Region.

All families returning to the centres will be required to complete and sign the following two documents:

PLASP has implemented protocols for prioritizing families in need of care. It is our hope to be able to accommodate most of the families who have indicated that they are returning in July on the survey.

As time progresses and numbers and ratios change, we look forward to welcoming more families back to our centres, giving current families priority on spaces. Families will not be charged while not attending the centre.

The Region has created a child care reopening page for families, highlighting how they are working to support the reopening of centres. This page provides information to address key questions families may have during this period.

Additional information can be found on our updated FAQs.
