Wednesday, September 30th is The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. The work of Truth and Reconciliation includes: Learning about settler colonialism, residential schools and displacement, while recognizing that the impact of these events continues to shape experiences and inequities today.

PLASP Curriculum Coordinators, Maha Abbas and Michael Agam share the below video message in which we reflect on this history and why it matters deeply in our work done present day regardless of our role or title.

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation also calls on us to understand our relationship with the land; the traditional territories we live and work on, the treaties connected to those lands, and our responsibilities within those relationships.

In our programs and centres, staff will be sharing information and taking part in activities that have been provided by the PLASP Curriculum Team in a resource guide shared with all PLASP staff.
