Harriet Obodo, PICS Director of Human Resources and Dima Alkabani, PICS Programs' Manager, Peel present the Employer of the Year Award to PLASP CEO Lynn Hiebert, at Polycultural's Annual General Meeting Tuesday evening.

PLASP was the proud recipient of the Employer of the Year Award at the annual general meeting for Polycultural Immigrant & Community Services (PICS) on Tuesday evening.

Lynn Hiebert, PLASP CEO, was present to accept the award, and spoke on behalf of the organization.

“We are humbled and honored to receive this employer recognition award, as a token of our partnership with PICS over the past seven years. There are many benefits for both organizations to be partners in the Enhanced Learning Training program – we’re proud to be able to claim 50 placements in our head office and early years programs in the past five years.”

PLASP has been a long standing supporter of the Enhanced Learning Training (ELT) program with PICS. Since, PLASP has partnered with PICS to provide placements and training to a number of ELT clients, contributing to PICS very high post-placement hiring success. Over the past seven years, it has been an honor for PLASP to assist PICS with meeting their objectives: to enable newcomer clients to be motivated, encouraged and exude excellence in obtaining employment while settling and adopting Canadian values.

Like PICS, PLASP has a rich, vibrant history of providing diverse programs and services to families in Peel Region and Toronto. This year, PLASP celebrates its 40th Anniversary and is proud to be recognized by PICS during this milestone year. Thank you!
