On Monday, December 14, PLASP Child Care Services presented Sick Kids Foundation with a cheque for $8,778.00. This donation was the result of PLASP’s Dress Down Fridays, started in October 2014. PLASP staff had the opportunity to vote for the charity that would receive the money raised, with Sick Kids Foundation being their choice.

“We are thrilled to present Sick Kids with this cheque for $8,778.00,” says Lynn. “At PLASP, we believe that every child deserves a safe, warm and caring environment in which to grow and develop to their maximum potential. To be able to donate to a worthwhile foundation like Sick Kids - that provides care to children that need it most - is extremely important to us as an organization.”

PLASP employs more than 1,000 staff that provide high quality, licensed child care to more than 12,000 children annually in over 200 schools across Peel Region and Toronto. Staff participating in Dress Down Fridays do so through a biweekly payroll deduction.
