The PLASP EarlyON at Shelter Bay looks forward to welcoming families back on Monday, October 5th.
PLASP is excited to announce that our EarlyON centre at Shelter Bay Public School will be re-opening to the public beginning Monday, October 5th, 2020. Our EarlyON centre is geared towards children ages 0-6-years-old and their caregivers.
PLASP is committed to fostering “How Does Learning Happen?,” Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years. This is evident when families visit the centre and see the broad mix of hands-on programming including; the exploration of loose parts and natural materials, offering planned learning experiences based on children and families’ interests, and activities that are culturally relevant and inclusive.
Our Shelter Bay EarlyON staff are experts in child development and the delivery of play-based learning and are intentional and responsive in their programming for families. PLASP has had much success in providing a nurturing child and family programming at our Shelter Bay centre and is pleased to be the successful candidate to operate future EarlyON centres at Munden Park P.S., Floradale P.S., Aloma Crescent P.S., Lancaster P.S. and Pte. Buckam Singh P.S. – opening dates to be announced at a later time.
The health and safety of our staff and families is PLASP’s topmost priority. For families wanting to visit, please go to our website and book a timeslot prior to attending the EarlyON centre at Shelter Bay. Through the booking process, COVID-19 screening will be conducted in addition to ensuring that a safe number of visitors is maintained at all times. COVID-19 health and safety protocols can also be found on the website.
