PLASP Nominated!

As a parent, peace of mind is priceless
Established in 1975, PLASP Child Care Services has spent the past 37 years building an award-winning reputation for providing high-quality child care and early childhood education while expanding their services to meet the changing needs of parents.
PLASP parents have access to Before and After School programs for children up to 12 years of age in over 180 school locations, including 19 sites for full-day kindergarten children and 20 Early Learning and Child Care Centres. Five centres accept children as young as 15 months.
Parents can go to work with peace of mind, knowing their children are well taken care of in an environment that is fun, safe and educational. All PLASP locations are licensed, with staff trained in the highest standards of care. Each centre is staffed with ECEs registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Staff in the Before and After School programs have completed an extensive training program, recognized by the Ministry of Education.
“We’re very excited to share that we’re growing again – in the fall, we’ll be opening more than 20 new Before and After School Programs for full-day kindergarten children,” says Lynn Hiebert, PLASP CEO. “This is in response to the changing needs of our community – as the school system expands, so must we. We’re currently accepting registration for our fall programs and the good news is that there’s still space available - at both our new sites and existing locations.”
A seamless school day – for parents and kids

All PLASP programs are located within schools, solving transportation dilemmas for parents that need before and after school care. Parents can drop their children off as early as 7:30am and have until 6:00pm to pick them up. Children remain safely on school property, making the school day transition seamless.
In the Before School Program, children are provided with a healthy, substantial breakfast and the opportunity to play games, sports, arts and crafts. After school, they're given a nutritious snack, time for recreational activities, interactions with their friends and the opportunity to complete their homework. Monthly special events are planned, including celebrations and performances.
"We provide care for more than 7,300 families annually and for the past 14 years, our families have been awarding PLASP Best Child Care,” says Lynn. “We’re truly honoured to be nominated again and so proud that PLASP is the child care organization our community consistently turns to for reliable, affordable care.”
