How much do P.A. Days cost?

How do I pay for P.A. Days?
P.A. Day payments will be withdrawn on the Monday of the bi-weekly period the P.A. Day falls.
How many P.A. Days are there usually per school year?
For the 2025/2026 school year, there are seven P.A. days planned for each school board.

Can I sign up for only one P.A. Day?
Due to the level of planning required to coordinate P.A. Days for all the PLASP children, we request that parents commit to having their child attend all the P.A. Days. This ensures that parents and children requiring care during P.A. Days receive the care they need.
What do you do on P.A. Days?
School age children will participate in activities that feature outdoor play and nature-based activities, COVID-safe activities and activities themed around science, art, construction, design and discovery on school property on P.A. Days.
Is lunch provided on P.A. Days?
Yes, breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided for the day, and are included in the fee.
Are there any extra costs involved?
There are no extra costs; everything your child needs for the day is included in the price.
What is your staff to child ratio on P.A. Days?
The staff to child ratio for school age children off site is 1 to 12. When the program remains on school property, the staff to child ratio changes to 1 to 15.
What happens if bad weather occurs on a P.A. Day?
If the school is open, PLASP will operate the P.A. Day Program on-site. Children will be able to attend the P.A. Day Program from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the school. If the school is closed, PLASP will not operate the P.A. Day Program. Parents will receive a phone call from program staff by 7 a.m. to notify them of the closure.
Can children enrolled in part-time PLASP programs register for the P.A. Day Program?
The P.A. Day Program is only available to children enrolled in one or more full-time programs.
