PLASP’s Volunteer Program

PLASP’s Volunteer Program helps to define PLASP as a community organization. At PLASP, we believe in the value of providing members of the community with learning opportunities and practical work experiences in our programs and office.

Volunteer Services is excited to launch the PLASP Volunteer Recognition Program for the 2025-2026!

This program recognizes volunteers for their dedication to their volunteer position at PLASP based on the number of hours they have completed in their role. With gifts of appreciation at the 50-hours, 100-hours, and 150-hours marks, volunteers have various levels to aspire to. We encourage volunteers to come back to their volunteer position year after year. The children and staff love having volunteers in their programs. Volunteers enhance our programs by providing support to our staff and extra fun for the children. We are happy to be able to recognize our outstanding volunteers with the implementation of this new program!

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers: Most PLASP volunteers choose to participate directly with the children in our programs, and in this way the Volunteer Program brings the community to the children. Volunteers, with their many unique talents, work alongside staff to provide high quality programs for the children.

Other volunteers choose to work in the PLASP office assisting with administrative tasks and gaining office experience.

Board Opportunities: The volunteer Board of Directors is comprised of experts in various aspects of business who are well qualified to fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities.
